Description For Prospective Staff:
RN needed to join our team of three nurses to provide care for campers and staff. Responsible for organizing and supervising camper and staff medical needs, including dispensing meds, providing first aid, organizing health care for off-site trips, camper check-in and check-out, and follow up health care as needed. Responsible for organizing necessary paperwork, including documentation of procedures and insurance follow-up. Responsible for ongoing communication with directors, camp staff, and parents. One two-week position available. One or two camp age children welcome.

Our well-stocked Health Center is located in the center of camp, making it easy for our nursing staff to be accessible and to feel a part of our camp community. Adirondack Camp meets and exceeds the New York State Department of Health Children's Camp standards, including having clearly defined standing orders. We have arrangements with a local clinic to provide additional medical care for campers and staff whenever needed. The majority of our staff are trained in CPR and First Aid.
Nurse candidates must possess or be able to obtain appropriate NY State nursing license and proof of a minimum of 1 million dollars of malpractice insurance.

Spend the summer surrounded by a pristine lake and blue green mountains. Challenge yourself in this great Adirondack Wilderness rock climbing, white water kayaking, or trekking hidden mountain trails. Engage in your favorite water and land sports from sailing, windsurfing and waterskiing to tennis, volleyball and martial arts or exercise your creativity as a dancer, dramatist, painter, potter, or video journalist.
Featured Activities for Campers:
You want it, we've got it! On land campers choose from team sports, such as soccer and basketball, to individual sports like tennis, rock climbing, archery or fencing. On our pristine mile and a half of waterfront, we offer just about every activity in or on Lake George- swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, canoeing, waterskiing, windsurfing, fishing and sailing. Our Adirondack Arts program provides opportunities for expression through videography, cooking, dance, and performing arts. Throughout the summer, our Guest Artists add spice through programs such as claymation, Native American lore, and hip hop.
Other Camper Activities:
Take a hike! Adirondack offers over 50 wilderness trips and excursions throughout the summer- canoe to the islands for a fishing overnight, climb the rocks at Rumney, or conquer one of the Adirondack 46-ers. There is no shortage of adventure at Adirondack Camp!
