Description For Prospective Staff:
Kamp Kohut is a private, residential summer camp for boys and girls, ages 7 to 16. Through a traditional -general activities - camping experience, our goal is to provide the structure and quality supervision young people need to thrive socially, developmentally and physically.
A balanced focus on land and water sports, arts programs, media curriculum, and day and overnight trips emphasizes teamwork and character development while celebrating the uniqueness of each individual.
We are located on the beautiful and expansive Thompson Lake in Oxford, Maine. Kohut is approximately 45 minutes from the coast, an hour from the White Mountains, and about 3 hours north of Boston, Massachusetts.
We are seeking OUTSTANDING and DYNAMIC Activity Instructorsto teach a particular activity, as well as live with campers in a bunk. This position requires you to wear two "hats" during the summer and will provide you the opportunity to positively impact the children at Kamp Kohut, while having the experience of a lifetime. Requirements for employment include good morale character, high energy personality, strong work ethic, and willingness to be flexible. You must be at least 19 years of age and/or have one year of college experience. Other staffing needs and restrictions:
We generally hire registered nurses due to the limited health concerns our camper population exhibits. However, we would consider any applicant with more experience/certification/licensing/qualifications, etc.
