Information For Job Candidates With Camp-Aged Children
Description For Parents:
The New York Foundling and the Felix Organization have partnered to create an exciting and fun-filled summer camp experience for kids in need. Children ages 8 to 14 from both prevention and foster care programs in New York City are able to take a journey outside of the city to enjoy some much-needed time in the sunshine and fresh air. Our Camp Felix campers have the opportunity to make lasting friendships and connections along with memories they will never forget. They learn how to swim, to cheer on their cabin-mates, how to get to the top of the climbing wall and so much more. Above all, the children are able to leave their often turbulent home-lives and focus on simply "being a kid".
Featured Activities for Campers:
Camp Felix Olympics, Macy's Volunteer Day with field games, Open House with performance by rapper, DMC and Camper Talent Show, Basketball Tournaments, Ladies' Spa Night, Scavenger Hunt, Campfires, Special Guest Performances by Story-Tellers, Astronomers, Improvisational Theater Troupes, Professional Dance Troupes and more.

We offer swimming, climbing wall, basketball, softball, soccer, football, volleyball, badminton, arts-and-crafts, chess, dance, improvisational theater, drumming, cooking, storytelling, poetry, newsletter/journalism, double-dutch, and more.
