Description For Prospective Staff:
Camp Timberlane is an independent camp for boys in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin. Our campers come from all across the U.S. and some international cities. We have 160 kids per 4 week session, and 90 staff members. Our philosophy and program are genuinely non-competitive, placing the importance of fun and friendship far above all else. We feature a wide range of water and land based activities, and a wilderness trips program. Timberlane is a fun, caring, and supportive place to work, and we offer outstanding training in the field of counseling and child development.
We are seeking both a head nurse (RN or LPN) and assistant nurse (RN/LPN/GN) with appropriate medical experience. Compensation includes an excellent salary ($500+/week for Head Nurse, $350/week for Assistant Nurse), health insurance, free room & board, transportation allowance, and reimbursement of fees to transfer your license to Wisconsin (if applicable). Dates are June 10 - August 13, 2010.
Our Infirmary features a large exam room, two isolation rooms, two full bathrooms, and quarters for our two nurses. Our medical staff includes two health care providers, and there is a hospital and clinic within 5 miles. You will work hard, play hard, and make friends to last a lifetime. Description For Parents:
Come join our camp family. Timberlane is a general program, and genuinely non-competitive camp with campers and counselors coming together from all over the country to have fun, make friends, and share adventures together.
Featured Activities for Campers:
We are well known for our strong waterskiing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and wilderness trips programs.
Other Camper Activities:
Land sports including baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, gymnastics, volleyball; waterfront activities including skiing, sailing, swimming, canoeing, row boating, and SCUBA diving; adventure programs including rock climbing (state of the art climbing facilities) and ropes course; traditional activities including horseback riding, archery, and riflery; creative programs including arts & crafts, pottery, model rocketry, photography, guitar, Yoga, and drama; and a mammoth wilderness trips program with canoeing, backpacking, rock climbing, and sea kayaking trips up to 12 days long.
